My friend and I are looking for an online shop in US. She lost the link. She said that the shop sells black lipsticks and all the products are very cheap. Most of the products are less than US$10 and some are even US$1. Please give me the url if you know about this shop =)

Well, there are LOTS of shops that are like that. eBay is one of them too ;)

Is it Manic Panic? You can order of their site.

(shops selling original or replica , both acceptable ) I am not that obsessed to go for original .

There are plenty of shops in india to sell fake merchandise. Just look around.

The price should start at about Rs.4-500

I just started working at Lane Bryant and their clothes dont fit but they have other stores that i can use the discount at, but they are all really far. So i was wondering if i can shop online with the discount .

It depends on the website, it may but it probably wont. Maybe ring up the other store and ask them if they will send it over

I am looking for Russian clothing online. What’s a good site to shop for clothes from Russia?

I love to shop for clothes from abroad, and I’d like to buy some clothing from Russia, but I haven’t found a site to shop for Russian clothing. Department stores, or boutiques are what I’m mainly looking for. Thanks in advance!

do you want something with a Russian logo, or just clothing that Russians wear in Russia? Because they wear what we wear, but a little bit prettier, mainly it’s shipped to them from the U.S., Turkey, Europe, a lot of China too. So if you want something just with Russian logo, you can go to http://shop.cafepress.com/russian . If you want Russian national clothing(from ages ago), you can get it here: http://www.russianfoods.com/ there are clothing articles like shawls, dresses, etc. on the left side of the page, if you click on that, it will bring you to the pics, descriptions, and prices.
Where do you live? Because if you live in NY, there are tons of Russian clothing stores there, here’s the directory:

What would you consider when opening a fashion shop?

Several things, not all and not in order:

Where are your nearest competitors, do you want to compete head on or open in an area outside their coverage?

What is the maximum you can afford to spend each month and for how long if you make no profit (most new businesses lose money the first 6 months and are out of business the first year).

Will you have employees, what will you pay them? Do you know the added costs with a payroll? Workmen’s comp, matched SS, etc.

How will the accounting be done?

Who will your suppliers be, will they carry credit?

Do you need a loan to start? The lender will want a detailed projection of costs and income.

Will your lease include utilities or will they be separate?

Will the space need to be remodeled? Lighting and display for fashions is VERY important? If the space has been vacant for sometime, perhaps the landlord will do some of the remodeling in advance?

Is there a provision in the lease to get out of it if you lose money and must close doors? Can the lease be tied to profit at all? What if you grow and need to get a larger space?

Ask police department about robberies, thefts, break-ins relative to area(s) looking at. Do you need a security system? Does it need to have 24-hour monitoring? Have a button that may be pushed for a silent alarm and police call-out.

How will you accept payments, what are costs associated with credit card payments?

Do you need storage space? Will the storage be suitable for protecting the items from damage?

Are there changing rooms and bathrooms? You do not want potential cusotmers leaving becauase they have to go elsewhere to use the bathroom.

Is there room for an office and can you monitor the retail space if you are in the office?

How do I sell my new designer clothes to shops and dealing with them in the future?

November 28, 2009 - 7:44 pm 4 Comments

I am a clothes designer and produce my clothes in Sri Lanka. I wish to sell my clothes here in the local market. I would appreciate any advice on how to sell the clothes to shops and then collecting the cheques from the sales they make. However, from past experience they never give full payment of sold clothes until we collect all stock from the shop, how do I over come this problem?

Most shop owner are willing to take in consignment provided yours design are same as their target group. You probably cant put funky t-shirt on their rack if they are selling executive suit. Make agreement with them that you will do a stock check & collect payment which ever is sold at the end of the month. Back yourself with your company agreement form, state quatity for them to sign & chop. When you doing consignment with new shop owner just put some to test out. There are really few bunch of unethical businessman out there, that alway drag payment or dont even pay. Dont ever do business with them again no matter what they offer. Gd luck business need time to test out & grow.
