Where’s the best place for a crossdresser to shop for clothes?

March 21, 2010 - 6:13 am 8 Comments

At the moment i normally buy my female clothes at charity shops, but sometimes it’s hard finding clothes in there what i like and also suits my age (because in the ones near to where i live, most of the time, the clothes are mostly for children or for people older than my age, i’m 26 at the end of the month btw) so i was wondering if you could tell me which are the best high street stores to shop at and why?

what country are you in? It depends on what your female size would be. If its between like a UK 6-16 you could go to shops like topshop, zara, riverisland or internet shops like asos.com But if you are a 16+ you’ll need to go to stores like marks and spencer, dorothy perkins, next , evans etc.

no disrespect to you, but having worked in retail, if you want to be trying stuff on in the ladies changing rooms, make sure you are dressed as a woman! just cause we are not allowed to let men in.

can i ask what "dress " size you are you of average build? You can shop online at most stores now try evans as previous person suggested if you are plus sized or try some of the catalogues i had an ex partner who was a cross dresser but he was of large build and he used to shop at simplybe or ambrose wilson they are online catalogues you may pay on cards upfront or have account i would look into this and try finding places where like minded people meet up and talk to them about it. I would look at places like fetish markets such as the birmingham bizarre and see if you can talk to people who are in to the scene and talk to them. Good luck

JC Penney’s. When someone asks, can I help you…just tell them your looking for a dress, size 9/11 or whatever. If they ask, is this for you? I tell them yes. They usually don’t ask. I just walk into the women’s department and look like I mean business. Most of the time I think women want to see you squirm or lie about what the clothes are for…..they can tell they are for you. Just be honest. Its not against the law to buy clothes. Now, when it comes to lingerie, I try to get that stuff at WalMart or Target when its not real busy. I love wearing women’s clothes, but I think that the lingerie department is kinda off limits at some of the nicer stores. We don’t want to ruin it for the real women. Just be confident and secure with yourself and go and buy what you want to wear.
